For the “5 Architects 5 Breeze” series, Erginoğlu & Çalışlar designed three blocks—HOLE, HELO, and U-TURN—that share the same 10×20×10 cm module instead of using a single block: In all three, the inner surface folds at an angle rather than forming a flat hole. Light enters the block at one point and exits at a different angle. As the blocks are arranged side by side and stacked on top of one another, the openings face different directions, giving the wall a layered depth.
