Description
The No. 1 terracotta breeze block is arranged within a square frame with diagonal arms extending from the corners toward the center. The triangular openings between the arms create a simple, geometric pattern.
When the blocks are arranged side by side, the diagonal lines intersect with those of adjacent blocks, creating a continuous zigzag rhythm along the wall. The small 10×10 cm module repeats the pattern with a denser and finer texture. Triangular openings divide the light into sharply defined shadows, while air flows freely through the wall.
No. 1 is available in a natural terracotta shade. The front and back surfaces can also be glazed in a color selected from the Karoistanbul glaze catalog. This allows the same form to take on a different character depending on the project’s color palette.
It can be used on facades, garden and terrace walls, and as a permeable partition indoors. Each piece is individually hand-shaped from clay and fired. Minor variations in the surface are a natural part of the material.
